Born July 24, 1949 in the UK, Graham moved with his family to London, Ontario in 1952 and began his professional career with the London (Canada) Symphony orchestra at the age of 13. During his teenage years he practiced, played and toured with several bands in Canada and the US. Canadian superstar Gino Vanelli was the first major recording artist to recognize Graham’s talents and he recorded with Gino on some of his most important work. Since those early days, he has toured and/or recorded worldwide with Santana, Paul Anka, REO Speedwagon and Saga. He has also worked with T.V./ Film composers Henry Mancini , Domenic Troiano , Jimmy Dale (Pianist/arranger Boss Brass), David Foster and Mexican jazz/fusion group Sacbe.

One of Graham’s most important recognitions, from his point of view, was when drumming legend Buddy Rich covered his ' Storm At Sunup' track from Gino Vannelli’s  CD of the same name. Graham has long recognized the importance of stimulating and educating young musicians, and devotes as much time to this activity as his schedule will allow. He has provided private tutoring in Portland (OR), performed clinics in a number of areas that he has visited in conjunction with the companies he currently endorses: DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Roland Electronic Percussion, Calato/Regal Tip Sticks, LP Percussion, Remo Heads and Studio Kans headphones.

Graham is currently touring internationally with Paul Anka and has recently relocated to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Graham is available for live and studio performances, clinics and professional instruction. Contact at: graham@grahamlear.com

Graham is very appreciative of the recognition and feedback that fans have provided him over the years and invites those interested to write him at the above email address.
